This panorama, taken by Christopher Gjevre, captures the excitement of The Ohio State Buckeyes® playing before a sold-out crowd at the Value City Arena - Jerome Schottenstein Center. The largest arena in the Big Ten with seating for 19,500 fans, Value City Arena opened in 1998 and pays tribute to Jerome Schottenstein, the late Columbus businessman and philanthropist. The Buckeyes® played their first basketball game in 1898 and have attended the NCAA tournament every decade since the 1930's. The Ohio State University was established in 1870 and is ranked among the top 20 public universities with over 64,000 students. Its main campus is located in Columbus, Ohio.
