Centered in the panorama, with a seating capacity of 57,803, is Arizona Stadium, home to the Arizona Wildcats football team. On the right, with its white roof is McKale Memorial Center, home of Arizona basketball, volleyball and gymnastics competitions. The University of Arizona was established in 1885 as the first university in the Arizona Territory, and emphasizes excellence in teaching, research and public service.
