After Iowa State's win over the #1 ranked team the week before, the atmosphere at Hilton Coliseum was electric and Cyclone fans were on the edge of their seats. This win and high-ranking matchup against the Jayhawks was the springboard Iowa State needed to capture the attention of college basketball fans around the nation.
